TCG Series

The English e-Card Series was the last to be produced by Wizards of the Coast. Knowing that their license was running out of time, Wizards released very few products other than the typical staples, like Booster Boxes and Theme Decks accompanying the three e-Card expansions, Expedition Base Set, Aquapolis, and Skyridge. Below is a chronological list of all the items released during the e-Card Series of the Trading Card Game.

Expedition Base Set Theme Decks

Released on September 15, 2002, Expedition Base Set brought with it a pair of Theme Decks, featuring the Psi Pokémon Alakazam and the Flower Pokémon Vileplume. Alakazam's Theme Deck, Echo, features Psychic-type and Colorless-type Pokémon while Vileplume's Electric Garden Theme Deck features Grass-type and Lightning-type Pokémon. Each Theme Deck came packaged with a metal coin as well as a rulebook, damage counters, and card list. Each deck also came with one random Mirror Reverse Holofoil card from the expansion.

Abyss, on the other hand, features Fire-type and Water-type Pokémon. These Theme Decks also include a metal coin, a rulebook, damage counters, and card list. This last expansion of the Wizards of the Coast era of the Pokémon Trading Card Game also came with two Theme Decks, released starting May 12, 2003. Eeveelution, as the first Theme Deck to feature three types, represents Eevee's Generation I evolutions Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon with the Fire-type, Water-type, and Lightning-types. Mind Machine utilizes Technical Machines to represent the six basic Energy types at the time: Grass, Fire, Water, Lightning, Psychic, Fighting, while only including Pokémon of the Psychic and Colorless types. These Theme Decks also include a metal coin, a rulebook, damage counters, and card list. Each deck also came with one random Mirror Reverse Holofoil card from the expansion.
